Great Northern owned and operated a pipeline and crude-by-rail facility in the Williston Basin and provided liquid gathering and marketing services for oil production from the Bakken and Three Forks formations in North Dakota. On January 11, 2016, Tesoro Corporation (NYSE: TSO) acquired Great Northern Midstream.
