Daniel Matranga joined EIV Capital in 2022 and currently serves as director of data for EIV Resources.   He is responsible for leading the collaborative design and development of technology and applications that enhance technical underwriting, land, and financial processes.

Prior to joining EIV Capital, Daniel served as data scientist and visual analytics expert in the research and development group at Bayer Corporation, a multinational biotechnology and pharmaceutical company.  While with Bayer, he worked to conceptualize, design, and develop new digital products for customers in the Environmental Science segment, as the company was looking to diversify their product portfolio.  Prior to Bayer, he worked for upstream operator Apache Corporation in the Competitive Intelligence group, where he designed and developed many data processes, methodologies, custom databases, and apps that were used to analyze the firm’s portfolio and evaluate deals.  Before joining Apache, he worked within Shell’s Global Geomatics group, where he integrated geospatial data and maps into land and commercial applications and business processes.  Prior to Shell, Daniel served in various Land and GIS roles at Chesapeake Energy.

Daniel earned his BS in Corporate Communications form the University of Texas at Austin and his MBA from Rice University, where he participated in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship program.
