Jason Tracton joined EIV Capital in 2022 and currently serves as a managing director.  He is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, structuring, executing, and monitoring the firm’s upstream investments in EIV Resources.

Prior to EIV Capital, Jason worked as Portfolio Director for JDH Capital, a private investment firm established to invest on behalf of the Hildebrand family, where he was responsible for management and oversight of the firm’s private company investments.  Before joining JDH Capital, he served as Managing Director of Sage Road Capital, a private equity firm focused on the lower middle market upstream oil and gas industry, where he contributed to all aspects of the firm’s investment activities, including portfolio company board participation and monitoring, investment sourcing and due diligence, and transaction structuring and execution.  Jason previously gained valuable energy private equity investing experience at Parallel Resource Partners as Director, The Energy & Minerals Group as Senior Associate, and Quantum Energy Partners as Associate.  He began his career as an investment banking analyst in the oil and gas group at Credit Suisse where he worked with current EIV Capital partners David Finan and Greg Davis.

Jason earned his B.B.A. degree in finance, graduating with highest honors from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.
