Patricia Bryant Melcher co-founded EIV Capital in 2009 and serves as the firm’s managing partner and a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. In this role, she leads the strategic direction of the firm and directs its investment programs.
Prior to co-founding EIV Capital, Patricia founded Allegro Capital Management in 1997, a private equity firm which made equity investments in energy companies and provided consulting services. During her tenure at Allegro, she served as interim chief executive officer for Petrocom Energy. Patricia joined SCF Partners at its formation to focus on private equity investments in the oilfield services sector. Patricia has more than 35 years of experience, beginning her career as an investment banker for Simmons & Company International. Patricia currently serves as a director of NOV Inc. (NYSE: NOV).
Patricia is active in the non-profit community. In 1997, she co-founded and then served as president and board chair (currently trustee emeritus) of The Joy School, a non-profit K-8 school focused on meeting the educational needs of children with learning differences. She currently serves as a Pro Tempore Advisor of the University of Virginia School of Engineering and a trustee of The Joy School Endowment Fund.
Patricia earned her B.S. degree in systems engineering from University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from Harvard University.
